Endoscopy is the use of miniature cameras and fibre optic cables to look into various parts of the body.
Our Fujinon 400 series flexible video endoscopy system allows us to visualise the colon (coloscopy) and stomach (gastroscopy) and will soon be capable of looking down into the respiratory tract. Our Stryker rigid video endoscopy system is used to visualise the nose, ears, joints (arthroscopy)and abomen (laproscopy).
The purchase of this equipment has now broadened our range of services to our clients and makes us one of the best equipped practices in the area. It also allows us to perform minimally invasive surgery, examine areas that would require major surgery otherwise, and take biopsies without undue trauma to our patients allowing fast recovery times.
